One crisp winter morning in early June we set out to go on a stroll together nearby. The best thing was that this family has all those amazing walking paths through pine or kanuka forest, tussock fields with views over the lake and our mountains, just at their doorstep. I like it how appreciative they are - never taking these views and our beautiful little area for granted.
As I know this area well, it was easy to schedule a rough plan where to go without it being too long on a cold Sunday morning. Within one hour we covered a great variety of lovely spots, had some fresh air, great views and were ready to head back home for some Sunday morning coffees.
